Job description

Paul Hastings' Financial Restructuring Group - Finance Associate Position

Paul Hastings' Financial Restructuring Group seeks to hire a Finance Associate with 4-6 years of experience for our NY office. The ideal candidate will have expertise in complex debt financing transactions, including:

  1. Acquisition financing (particularly for sponsor-backed middle-market companies)
  2. Term loan facilities and working capital facilities
  3. Familiarity with commitment letters, sponsor grids, unitranche facilities, and intercreditor arrangements

Our primary clients include private credit and opportunistic debt funds, ad hoc lender groups, and investment and commercial banks. We also represent corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors.

Unique to this role is its position within Paul Hastings's dynamic financial restructuring practice. Responsibilities include working on new loan originations, managing existing capital structures, and representing clients in special situations, workouts, and restructuring transactions, both in and out of court. While experience with distressed credit is advantageous, a strong foundation in leveraged finance and a curiosity to expand beyond traditional credit work are essential.

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $310,000 and $435,000 annually, with actual compensation based on experience and other relevant factors.
