The role requires a JD from a top-tier law school, NY bar in good standing, and 2 years' exclusive experience in management-side employment law litigation and counseling. Strong policy, investigations, and M&A exposure are valued.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active New York Bar admission in good standing.
• 2 years of substantive experience in management-side employment law litigation and counseling.
• Experience handling non-compete, trade secrets, and employee solicitation disputes.
• Advised on terminations, leaves of absence, internal investigations, reductions in force, and employment policies.
• Advised on employment issues in mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in-person in the New York office.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in complex employment disputes including trade secrets, non-compete, and employment mobility matters.
• Advise tech and life sciences clients on terminations, leaves, reductions in force, policy review and creation.
• Provide day-to-day counseling on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Manage all aspects of litigation from start to finish with cross-practice collaboration.
• Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions and restructuring, including M&A.
• Conduct internal investigations and guide risk management strategies.

A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking an exceptional Associate Attorney to join its Employment & Trade Secrets Litigation Practice Group. This team handles a uniquely broad mix of work—from high-stakes “bet-the-company” litigation and internal investigations to employment issues arising from major corporate transactions. The practice is dynamic, collaborative, and deeply integrated with clients at the forefront of technology, life sciences, clean energy, and other innovative industries.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing
• 2 years of substantive experience, exclusively in management-side employment law litigation and counseling
• Demonstrated experience handling disputes involving non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and employee solicitation matters
• Background advising clients on terminations, leaves of absence, internal investigations, reductions in force, and employment policies
• Ability to advise on employment issues in mergers and acquisitions(M&A) and other corporate transactions
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to in-person collaboration in the firm’s New York office

• Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary is $235,000+commensurate with experience and class year
