Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active New York bar admission in good standing.
• Two years of substantive management-side employment law litigation experience.
• Experience handling non-compete, trade secrets, and employee solicitation disputes.
• Experience advising on terminations, leaves of absence, internal investigations, reductions in force, and employment policies.
• Experience advising on employment issues in mergers and acquisitions.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in-person in New York office.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in complex employment disputes including trade secrets and non-compete matters.
• Advise technology and life sciences clients on terminations, leaves of absence, reductions in force, and policy reviews.
• Provide day-to-day counseling on compliance with employment laws.
• Manage all aspects of litigation from start to finish, collaborating with attorneys across practices.
• Advise clients on employment aspects of corporate transactions and restructuring, including M&A.
• Conduct internal investigations and advise on risk management strategies.

A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking an exceptional Associate Attorney to join its Employment & Trade Secrets Litigation Practice Group. This team handles a uniquely broad mix of work—from high-stakes “bet-the-company” litigation and internal investigations to employment issues arising from major corporate transactions. The practice is dynamic, collaborative, and deeply integrated with clients at the forefront of technology, life sciences, clean energy, and other innovative industries.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record


• Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing


• 2 years of substantive experience, exclusively in management-side employment law litigation and counseling


• Demonstrated experience handling disputes involving non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and employee solicitation matters


• Background advising clients on terminations, leaves of absence, internal investigations, reductions in force, and employment policies


• Ability to advise on employment issues in mergers and acquisitions(M&A) and other corporate transactions


• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills


• Commitment to in-person collaboration in the firm’s New York office
