Our client, an AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking an Employment Litigations & Trade Secrets Associate Attorney in New York, NY, in-office. The role focuses on high-stakes disputes, internal investigations, and employment issues arising from major corporate transactions in tech, life sciences, and other innovative sectors.

Requirements include a JD from a top-tier law school, active NY Bar, and at least 2 years of management-side employment litigation experience, with strong writing and advocacy skills

• Represent employers in complex employment disputes including trade secrets, non-compete, and mobility matters.
• Advise tech and life sciences clients on terminations, leaves, reductions in force, and policy review.
• Provide day-to-day counseling on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Manage all aspects of litigation from start to finish with cross-practice collaboration.
• Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including M&A and restructuring.
• Conduct internal investigations and advise on related risk management strategies.

A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking an exceptional Associate Attorney to join its Employment & Trade Secrets Litigation Practice Group. This team handles a uniquely broad mix of work—from high-stakes “bet-the-company” litigation and internal investigations to employment issues arising from major corporate transactions. The practice is dynamic, collaborative, and deeply integrated with clients at the forefront of technology, life sciences, clean energy, and other innovative industries.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing
• 2 years of substantive experience, exclusively in management-side employment law litigation and counseling
• Demonstrated experience handling disputes involving non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and employee solicitation matters
• Background advising clients on terminations, leaves of absence, internal investigations, reductions in force, and employment policies
• Ability to advise on employment issues in mergers and acquisitions(M&A) and other corporate transactions
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to in-person collaboration in the firm’s New York office

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day counseling to fast-growing companies on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Manage all aspects of litigation from start to finish, collaborating with attorneys across practices to deliver comprehensive client support
• Advise clients on employment aspects of corporate transactions and restructuring, including M&A
• Conduct internal investigations and provide guidance on related risk management strategies

• Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary is $235,000+commensurate with experience and class year
