Job summary

General Motors seeks an experienced NXOpen Developer to create and maintain CAD automation tools in the Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM environment. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D to translate design requirements into scalable software solutions that boost product development efficiency.

You will build data pipelines and custom NX UIs, collaborate across teams, and help deploy solutions with enterprise-scale impact in a hybrid Warren, MI setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/Software/ME).
• Minimum 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with Siemens NX Open API, TcSOA, and C# development.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain NXOpen applications, custom tools, and automation solutions within Siemens NX.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to implement engineering algorithms, design constraints, and manufacturing requirements into user-friendly software solutions.
• Build and support integrations between NX, Teamcenter PLM, and downstream manufacturing systems.
• Design and develop data pipelines that enable advanced digital engineering and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) workflows.
• Create custom NX user interfaces utilizing NX Open UIStyler, Block UI, and Reuse Library Dialogs.
• Support code repository management, version control, documentation, and software development best practices.
• Partner with deployment and sustainment teams to support enterprise implementation and long-term maintenance of developed solutions.
• Participate in iterative development cycles, including prototyping, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
