Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience using CAD software to create and modify designs.
• Ability to analyze and solve design/mechanical problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed and adapt to fluctuating workloads.

Responsibilities

• Report to Waltonen Design Lead/Program Manager.
• Create engineered solutions using NX from concept through 3D design and 2D detailing.
• Design and/or modify CAD models per customer specifications using NX.
• Prepare design layouts using Unigraphics (UGNX) on complex units and mechanisms.
• Perform design calculations and material selections as required.
• Prepare general specifications, such as bills of materials.
• Collaborate with layout drafters and detailers to complete designs.
• Create design drawings using manual or computer tools.
• Have basic knowledge of GD&T and meet customer requirements.
