Job summary

UNEW in Florida, NY is looking for a Senior Modeler-Drafter to support engineering activities related to part assembly and installation. The role requires collaboration with engineers, creating and modifying NX models, and preparing detailed production drawings. Candidates should have 5 years of experience in design/drafting, an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, and US citizenship or Green card. The Senior Modeler-Drafter will play a critical role in supporting engineering activities related to part assembly and installation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers to assist in the development of part assembly and installation engineering drawings.
• Create, modify, and check NX models and drawings to meet production requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive production detail drawings with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
• Review and implement changes to engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
• Manage multiple projects independently, effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in a related field or applicable years of experience
• 5 years of experience in design/drafting
• Working knowledge of NX 10 or higher
• Experience with GOM software, a plus.
• Experience with gas turbines; Gas turbine airfoil experience a plus
