Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, Texas is seeking a CNC Specialist (NX CAM) to own blade and vane programming for the new blades/vanes line. You will work with vendors, machinists, and engineers to deliver high-precision parts on tight tolerances.

You will program 5-axis milling, EDM, laser drilling, and related processes, verify NC files, select tooling, and drive process improvements while mentoring operators and CN C programmers on the floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years CNC programming experience in NX.
• Experience with blades/vanes in aerospace is preferred.
• Ability to design fixtures and rigging for the line.

Responsibilities

• Program blades/vanes with NX CAD/CAM for 5-axis milling, grinding, EDM, laser drilling, and stem drilling.
• Own tooling, consumables, parameters; ensure quality and live data for superalloys.
• Verify NC files (Vericut) and maintain revision control.
• Design fixtures, brackets, holders, and rigging for line operation.
• Train operators and CN C Programmers; troubleshoot issues on the floor.
• Support equipment selection, vendor engagement, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
• Drive process improvements and push for stable production.
