Job summary

Blueprints is hiring a Part-time Nutritionist to support the WIC program. The ideal candidate holds a nutrition-related degree and can assess nutritional risks, certify participants, and coordinate with medical and social services.

The role requires strong communication with staff and participants and will oversee operations within the WIC clinic. State WIC Agency approval is required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in nutrition-related field with WIC approval or eligibility.
• Strong communication with staff and participants required.
• Experience or familiarity with WIC clinic operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional risks and certify WIC participants.
• Act as liaison between medical, social services and WIC participants.
• Manage clinic operations and ensure program compliance.

Requirements:

Preferred: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or Public Health Nutrition.

Also accepted; a degree in Public Health or Home Economics with a minor in Nutrition.

Also Accepted; Bachelor's degree in Registered Nurse, Physician's Assistant, or Physician.

Must be approved by State WIC Agency.

The Nutritionist will need to be able to communicate effectively with staff and participants. This position will be responsible for the determination of nutritional risks and certification for of WIC Participants. The Nutritionist will serve as the liaison and make appropriate referrals between medical services, social services and WIC Participants. This role will also be responsible for operations within the WIC clinic.
