Lantern Community Services in New York, NY, is seeking a Nutritionist to support residents in supportive housing sites across Brooklyn and Manhattan. You will provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to promote health and stability, working closely with case management and program staff to address dietary needs for clients with chronic health conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience teaching nutrition curriculums and must have food experience.
• Possession of a valid Food Handler’s License, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire, is required.
• Proven experience in clinical, community, or private nutrition counseling.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and support clients in achieving health goals.
• Knowledge of dietary supplements and nutrition-related medical conditions.

• Assess clients’ nutritional needs based on medical history, lifestyle, and health goals.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans and recommendations.
• Educate clients on proper diet, nutrition principles, and healthy lifestyle choices.
