Reports to: Director of Nutrition & Food Programs
Work Status: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Lantern staff may be asked to change their work schedule and hours depending on the agency's operational needs.

This position serves multiple supportive housing sites in the Brooklyn and Manhattan areas.
The Nutritionist supports residents in Lantern’s supportive housing programs by providing individualized nutrition counseling and education to promote overall health and wellness. This role works closely with case management and program staff to address clients’ dietary needs, particularly for those managing chronic health conditions, mental illness, substance use, or other medical concerns.
The Nutritionist develops practical, sustainable nutrition plans that consider each client’s health goals, cultural background, and access to food resources, while also facilitating group workshops to promote healthy eating habits and long-term stability.

This job operates in the office and supportive housing environment and works with a population who may experience mental illness, substance use, disability, HIV/AIDS, and other chronic illnesses.
