NUTRITIONIST
Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire one (1) full-time Nutritionist for its Armstrong County location. This position reports to the supervisor of the department and is an in-person position.

Adagio Health supports two key Nutrition Programs: WIC provides nutrition and breastfeeding counseling and education for pregnant and postpartum women and children from infancy through age 5, and SNAP Education provides nutrition education and physical activity promotion to school age kids in PreK through high school, adults, and seniors to make the healthy choice, the easy choice.
SNAP Ed: A SNAP-Ed Nutritionist at Adagio Health provides nutrition education centered on the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and promotes a healthy lifestyle to a diverse population in a variety of settings. Our program reaches preschool, school-age, adult and senior members in our communities. You will also team up with community partners as well as school leaders to help improve the wellness of those participating in our program through Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) change initiatives.
WIC: A WIC Nutritionist at Adagio Health focuses on nutrition education, assessments, and counseling of our WIC Participants, as well as being proficient in all aspects of certifying WIC Participants on the program. A typical day might include counseling and educating participants over-the-phone, offering breastfeeding support and referrals, tailoring food packages to ensure supplemental needs are met for each specific family, in addition to documenting and scheduling participants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adagio Health's Nutrition & Education Department includes two major programs (1). SNAP-Education program and (2). The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). The Adagio Health Nutritionist will work in all nutrition programs within their service area to increase nutrition knowledge of the low-income population.
