Job summary

The University of Missouri Extension and Engagement seeks an Educational Program Associate III to deliver youth and adult education across Grundy, Harrison, Mercer, and Daviess counties. You will collaborate with Extension specialists and community partners, apply approved curricula, and report outcomes.

Travel and occasional evenings/weekends are required. Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree or equivalent plus at least 6 months of related experience; a passion for nutrition,

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 months of experience.
• Preferred: Nutrition, Education, Human Development, Social Work, Public Health or Communication focus.
• Community Health Worker Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide educational programs to youth and adults.
• Utilize approved curricula.
• Select appropriate activities for specific audience from the approved curriculum.
• Collaborate with Regional Extension specialists and community agencies to develop educational opportunities and implement policy, systems and environmental (PSE) initiatives.
• Serve on local school wellness committees, as needed.
• Submit reporting and evaluation in a timely fashion.
• Assist individuals in completing SNAP applications.
• Ability to travel and to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends is required to fulfill assigned responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
