Johnston Community School District is seeking a Part-Time Nutrition - Variable Hour Cook to prepare, serve, and clean up food for the School Nutrition Department at Johnston Middle School. The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, read/write English, and relate well to children, with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Benefits include IPERS, paid leave and holidays, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Food service preparation experience desired.
• Be able to read and write English, perform simple arithmetic and follow oral and written direction.
• Be able to do considerable standing and have the ability to lift 50 lbs safely.
• Ability to relate to children.
• Possess good communicative, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
