Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is looking for a Nutrition Therapist to manage medical nutrition care across a general patient population. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to align nutrition care with the overall plan of care, using NCPT to assess and develop outcomes-driven plans.

The role requires an ACEND-accredited degree, RDN certification, and Nebraska LMNT licensure, with opportunities to educate students and contribute to research and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with ACEND-accredited program or equivalent.
• ACEND supervision/DI or internship completed.
• Knowledge and application of NCPT required.
• Clear and consistent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient use of word processing and spreadsheet tools.
• Critical thinking to integrate data and care plans.
• Patient-centered care and service excellence emphasized.
• RDN credential by CDR required.
• LMNT license through Nebraska DHHS required.

Responsibilities

• Manage medical nutrition care for a general patient population.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to integrate nutrition care with the plan of care.
• Use NCPT to assess status, diagnose, and develop/evaluate nutrition care plans.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families and the community.
• Train students and health professionals in clinical and classroom settings.
• Participate in process improvement, outcomes measurement and clinical research.
