Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Nutrition Technician to support the Dietitian in providing nutrition services to a broad patient population. This patient-facing role enhances meal planning, between-meal nourishments, and formulas to meet individual needs, contributing directly to patient care and wellness.

The Nutrition Technician will assist in assessing nutritional needs, meet with patients about preferences and allergies, monitor intake, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Dietetics preferred.
• Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR/NDTR) preferred.
• 1-2 years Dietetic technician experience with multiple patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dietitian in assessing patients' nutritional needs.
• Meet with patients to understand food preferences, allergies, and nutritional status.
• Monitor patient intake through calorie counts, documentation of food consumed, meal rounds, and review of diet restrictions.
• Maintain accurate and timely nutrition-related records to support patient care and departmental processes.
