Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and build food items according to standardized recipes and directions.
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Set up work stations including prep tables and serving counters.
• Break down, clean and sanitize work station.
• Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs.
• Replenish food items and maintain stock at appropriate levels.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude toward guests and coworkers.

Department NUTRITION SERVICES - 208052 Worker Sub Type Regular Work Shift Pay Range $17.51 - $21.02

Retail Cook is responsible for preparing and/or building food items while providing excellent customer service and adhering to food safety, food handling and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and build food items according to standardized recipes and directions
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Sets up work stations including prep tables, service counters, hot well, stem tables, etc.
• Break down, clean and sanitize work station
• Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customer needs
• Replenishes food items and ensure product stocked to appropriate levels
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred, Previous food service experience preferred.

Certification & Licensures

Food safety certification preferred.
