Job summary

School District 27J is seeking a part-time food service worker for Riverdale Ridge High School. The role involves assisting in meal preparation, serving, and maintaining sanitary kitchen practices on a 9-month calendar.

Starting wage is $18.58 per hour, with 2–6 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday. Benefits are not provided. Physical requirements apply and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of high school or equivalent.
• Basic math, interpersonal, and communications skills.
• Ability to deal with children and children with special needs.
• Must pass post offer, pre-employment physical.
• Must pass Colorado and FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing meals following instructions on standardized recipes, including operating various types of institutional equipment used in food preparation or cleaning and complying with federal, state, and local guidelines for sanitation and child nutrition programs.
• Portion food correctly to meet federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Wash trays, utensils, dishes, pans, etc. used in food preparation or service.
• Mop, sweep, and clean kitchen work area, equipment, and other facilities as required.

SALARY

Classified, Grade H, starting at $18.58per hour, depending on recent relevant experience. 2-6 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday on the 9-month calendar. Position is not eligible for benefits.
