San Bernardino Unified School District seeks a Nutrition Services Manager I to plan, organize and supervise activities of a comprehensive high school cafeteria. You will implement education programs, oversee special menus and catering, and participate in the district’s cafeteria program.
Responsibilities include staff supervision, budgeting, menu development, vendor coordination, and ensuring quality and safety standards across operations.

Receives direction from a Nutrition Services Supervisor. Exercises supervision over high school cafeteria staff.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION/TRAINING: (These are the minimum experience and education/training standards which will be used to admit or reject applicants for examination.)
Two (2) years of experience equivalent to a Nutrition Services Manger I or higher food service classification in the San Bernardino City Unified School District.
OR
Three (3) years of experience involving large quantity ordering, preparation, and equipment operation in a commercial or institutional food service industry which includes at least one (1) year as a lead or supervisor.
AND
Completion of at least 30 semester units of college coursework or the equivalent.
AND
High school graduation or the equivalent.

An appropriate, valid California driver license and auto liability insurance must be submitted upon offer of employment.
SERVSAFE Certification, provided by the district within 30-days of appointment.

This is an exempt position, Management Salary Range 22. Most positions in this class work 8hours/190-days per year. The probationary period for employees in this classification is one (1) year.
