BASIC FUNCTION:

Prepare and serve food items; perform cashiering duties as assigned; maintain food service facilities, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in the preparation and packaging of food items under the guidance of cafeteria staff.
• Maintain cleanliness in food service areas, including counters, tables, and equipment.
• Support in the assembly of entrees, fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, and desserts.
• Aid in the receipt, storage, and rotation of food items and supplies.
• Safely operate standard food service equipment with proper training and supervision.
• Assist with inventory activities and replenishment of food containers.
• Safely operate standard food service equipment under the guidance and supervision of cafeteria staff.
• Follow training protocols for the operation of ovens, slicers, warmers, and other relevant equipment.
• Follow established procedures and portion control standards.
• Uphold HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards in all food-related activities.
• Work collaboratively with cafeteria staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively and seek guidance when needed.
• Balance academic responsibilities with work commitments effectively.
• Manage time efficiently to fulfill both school and work obligations.
