Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Nutrition Services Driver to transport food and equipment to and from facilities and assist in the nutrition services department. The role requires safe vehicle operation, compliance with laws, and strong communication with staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining the vehicle, submitting food safety documentation, restocking supplies, and supporting cooks and aides as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Food Handler Certificate required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates transportation vehicles in a safe manner and complies with all traffic laws.
• Transports food and supplies to and from facilities.
• Maintains appearance of vehicle and reports maintenance needs.
• Records and submits required food safety documentation.
• Restocks food and supplies as assigned.
• Assists nutrition services aides and cooks as needed.
• Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections.
• Maintains current license and reports any issues.
• Communicates effectively regarding job responsibilities.
• Completes assigned cleaning tasks for vehicle and work areas.
