Job summary

Independent School District 196 in Rosemount, MN is seeking a part-time Nutrition Services Associate to support breakfast and lunch service during the school day.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Comply with production, preparation and service of food as directed.
  • Account for meals and manage reimbursement/ala carte sales.
  • Clean up kitchen, serving area, cafeteria and dishroom as instructed.
  • Adhere to safety standards in handling, storing and serving food.
  • Operate the POS system to process meals for students.
  • Work efficiently and cooperate with other staff.
  • Attend job-related training classes and workshops.
  • Interact with students in a positive and professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must be a high school graduate or hold GED.
  • Basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills
  • Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds, stand on a hard surface for 3-6 hours, bending twisting, repetitive motions.
  • Experience in institutional food service operations and/or school foodservice helpful.
  • Must complete Serve Safe course and pass exam with 70% accuracy or higher within 1 year of hire date.
  • Previous knowledge of point of sale experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete job duties within the contracted hours.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage their time efficiently.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
Job Summary

Nutrition Services Associate: $20.91 - $23.42 Hourly
