Qualifications

  1. Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  2. Preferred: 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
  3. FLSA: Non-Exempt.
  4. Salary Schedule: Per Approved Nutrition Services Salary Schedule.
  5. Direct Report: Coordinator of Food Services.
  6. Terms of Employment: 9 Month.
  7. Eligible for emergency telework: No.
  8. Purpose: Ensuring that food preparations and delivery are in accordance with local, state, and federal nutritional guidelines.

Essential Job Functions include:

  1. Attend work reliably and punctually.
  2. Arrange food and beverage items for serving to students and staff efficiently.
  3. Assist in stocking food, condiments, and supplies to maintain adequate quantities and security.
  4. Participate in meetings, training, and workshops for job-related information.
  5. Clean utensils, equipment, and areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
  6. Cook food from scratch or prepared to meet nutritional and meal requirements.
  7. Implement menu plans to meet students’ nutritional needs.
  8. Inspect food items and supplies for quality and compliance.
  9. Inventory food and supplies to ensure availability for menu requirements.
  10. Maintain sanitary conditions in all food service areas.
  11. Monitor kitchen and cafeteria safety and sanitation.
  12. Perform other nutritional services duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
  13. Report equipment issues for repairs.
  14. Respond to inquiries from students, staff, and the public.
  15. Serve food items to meet nutritional standards and requests.
  16. Perform other related duties as needed.
