Purpose

Ensuring that food preparations and delivery are in accordance with local, state, and federal nutritional guidelines.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Attend work in a regular, reliable, and punctual manner.
  2. Arrange food and beverage items for serving to students and staff efficiently.
  3. Assist in stocking food, condiments, and supplies to maintain adequate quantities and security.
  4. Attend meetings, training, and workshops to gather information for job functions.
  5. Clean utensils, equipment, and areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
  6. Cook food, from scratch or prepared, to meet nutritional and meal requirements.
  7. Implement menu plans to meet students’ nutritional needs.
  8. Inspect food and supplies for quality, quantity, and health standards.
  9. Inventory food and supplies to ensure availability for menu requirements.
  10. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and areas to comply with health standards.
  11. Monitor kitchen and cafeteria for safety and sanitation.
  12. Perform other nutritional services duties as requested to ensure adequate staffing.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned for efficient operation.
  14. Prepare food and beverages to meet nutritional and meal requirements.
  15. Report equipment malfunctions for repairs.
  16. Respond to inquiries from students, staff, and the public about food services.
  17. Serve food items to meet nutritional standards and requests.
