Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to support dining services in a long-term care environment. Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals, assembling trays, cleaning, and ensuring sanitation, safety, and infection prevention across shifts.

The role requires a current state Food Handler Certificate and ability to read, write, and speak English. Experience in food service is preferred; benefits include healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Current state Food Handler Certificate.
• Experience in food service, dietary services, meal preparation, and operation of food service equipment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assures sanitation, food safety, and quality standards are met.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, tableware, and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment and food service equipment.
• Prepares dining room tables and patient room trays with appropriate tableware, condiments, and tray tickets.
• Assists with food preparation, meal assembly, tray line operations, and portioning of food servings.
• Delivers nourishments and nutritional supplements identified with patient labels.
• Maintains tray tickets and updates meal service information as directed.
