Position: Assistant Manager (8 hours per day)

Location: Tartan High School

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 10 months per year

Overview

Long, hour, academic year position. Responsible for creating and assist in managing Nutrition Services food production operation outcomes and for creating and ensuring a welcoming, respectful, positive atmosphere in Nutrition Services. Provide and ensure excellent Customer Service. Assist manager in kitchen operation, provide training, coaching, support and performance management for all Nutrition Services employees assigned to the Kitchen. Communicate proactively with the District Office.

This position will provide support in all aspects of preparing and serving school meals, meeting and maintaining Nutrition Services policies, including sanitation and safety standards in accordance with USDA/HACCP requirements. Oversee food production, inventory, place food orders, assist in cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, and cleaning spills as needed. Function as a cashier when necessary and all other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work with computers or willingness to learn.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attain certfication, level 3 or 4 with School Nutriton Association within one year of employment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to pass background check and physical
• Good physical health including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination, standing and walking.
• Repetitive motion with wrists, hands and fingers.
• Frequent bending, carrying, hearing, lifting and stooping.
• Occasional climbing and crawling.
• Standing for long periods of time as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing and climbing.
