Job summary

Respite Care of San Antonio is seeking a Cook to create weekly GRO program menus and ensure kitchen compliance with TDFPS, TDH, and City of San Antonio standards. The cook responds to findings promptly and ensures meals meet dietary requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing nutritious meals, ordering supplies, maintaining cleanliness, coordinating with the Program Director on allergens, managing inventory, and supporting events.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older with favorable background checks by state regulatory agencies.
• High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Minimum three years of related cooking/food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily meals and snacks for GRO program.
• Label weekend entrees with dates and cooking instructions.
• Maintain stocked food supplies and ensure menu compliance.
• Accommodate dietary restrictions and special diets as needed.
• Attend trainings and maintain Food Manager Certification.
• Keep the DRH kitchen clean, organized, and stocked.
