Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s EFNEP program is seeking a Nutrition Education Associate to teach nutrition, food safety, and physical activity to adults and youth in Harris County, Houston area. The position is funded by a Federal grant and may start after October 19, 2026.

The role involves delivering curriculum in-person or virtually, recruiting participants, and maintaining records. Some evenings and weekends may be required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED; additional education not required.
• Six months of related experience with youth or adult audiences.
• Knowledge of nutrition, food safety, food resource management, and physical activity topics; teaching experience.
• Experience teaching groups of people.

Aufgaben

• Recruit adults and/or youth who meet program guidelines.
• Use approved educational materials to instruct youth and/or adults in-person and/or virtually.
• Prepare food for recipes and demonstrate cooking to participants.
• Collect and track program data.
• Mentor/train Nutrition Education Assistants when needed.
