ALIYA of Highwood is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation, service, and nutrition for residents. You will follow menus, manage dietary orders, and help with snacks and dining room service. A focus on sanitation, safety, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in food service or a related field
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas
• Perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders
• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and substitute foods for residents who refuse served foods
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are maintained and that the facility's standards on Infection Control Precautions are followed
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils and equipment are readily available for next meal
• Prepare and deliver snacks and food carts, trays to designated areas, and serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and dish room as instructed by supervisor
