West Virginia University's Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design is seeking applications for a part-time Nutrition Coach.


About the Opportunity


The iNutritionCoach WV Study is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Nutrition Coach to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in nutrition or dietetics who are passionate about evidence-based lifestyle interventions and enjoy working with participants in a supportive, virtual setting.


This is a part-time, contract position with flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of West Virginians.

What you'll do:



  • Provide one-on-one virtual nutrition coaching sessions to study participants

  • Complete nutrient analyses of participant dietary records

  • Assist the with the development and refinement of study materials

  • Assist with the consent of study participants

  • Participate in self-guided training, including thorough review and application of study-specific coaching resources and telehealth platform


Pay Grade:


Work Hours: 19 Hours Per Week

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in an ACEND-accredited nutrition and dietetics program

  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in the following:
    * Familiarity with dietary assessment methods and tools for nutrient analysis
    * Knowledge of motivational interviewing or behavior change strategies

  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.

  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfort with virtual platforms and a willingness to learn and use electronic health documentation systems

  • Ability to work independently, follow protocol, and maintain confidentiality


Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiarity with dietary assessment methods and tools for nutrient analysis

  • Knowledge of motivational interviewing or behavior change strategies
