Job summary

Providence NorCal Health Connect is seeking a Diet Aide under the direction of a Registered Dietitian and the Manager of Nutrition Services. You will participate in nutritional care and treatment of patients, perform a variety of clerical tasks related to patient care, and help maintain interdepartmental communications related to clinical nutrition services.

You will also assist with food preparation duties as assigned and interact with patients and families in an age-appropriate manner,

Qualifications

• Institutional foodservice experience is required.
• Advanced Learning in Nutrition related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 Years institutional foodservice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in nutritional care and treatment of patients under supervision of a Registered Dietician and the Manager of Nutrition Services.
• Performs a variety of clerical tasks related to patient care and supports interdepartmental communications for clinical nutrition services.
• Performs food preparation duties as assigned and delivers quality nutritional care to patients across age groups.

Description

Under the direction of a Registered Dietician and the Manager of Nutrition Services, the Diet Aide participates in nutritional care and treatment of patients by performing a variety of clerical tasks related to patient care. The Diet Aide is also responsible for maintaining interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships and communications related to clinical nutrition services. Performs food preparation duties as assigned. Delivers quality nutritional care in accordance with the specific needs of infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Interacts with patients and their families in an age-appropriate manner.
