Holy Cross Hospital Mountain Point is seeking a Nutrition Assistant I to support healthcare foodservice operations and ensure efficient processes. You will work with facility staff to deliver optimal nutritional care to patients, guests, and staff, while maintaining high service standards and food safety.

Responsibilities include following standards for temperatures and hygiene, labeling and storing foods, preparing meals per dietary requirements, and assisting with cashiering and tray delivery.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No experience required.
• Food handler knowledge may be required by state/local codes and must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Follow healthcare foodservice standards, monitor temperatures, prevent cross-contamination, and maintain hygiene.
• Label and store all foods and equipment per facility guidelines.
• Prepare and serve food according to menu and dietary needs; address allergy requests.
• Ensure quality customer experience through proper portioning and appealing presentation.
• Perform cashiering, retail service, cold food prep, and patient tray delivery and retrieval.
• Complete utility tasks, dishwashing, catering support, inventory management, and general cleaning.

Every day, you will work alongside facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care to our patients. Your contributions will help ensure that we meet the dietary and wellness needs of those we serve. To be successful in your role, you will demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, guests, and staff. Your commitment to a positive and professional experience is essential to supporting our team’s mission.

• Follow healthcare foodservice industry standards and regulations, including monitoring food temperatures, preventing cross-contamination, and adhering to strict personal hygiene and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain proper labeling and storage protocols for all food products, equipment, and machinery in accordance with facility guidelines.
• Prepare and serve food based on menu and dietary requirements, utilizing necessary kitchen equipment while remaining knowledgeable of ingredients to address food allergy requests.
• Ensure a high-quality customer experience by following organizational standards for proper meal portioning and aesthetically pleasing presentation.
• Perform essential operational tasks, including cashiering, retail service, cold food preparation, and the assembly, delivery, and retrieval of patient trays.
• Complete necessary utility and maintenance assignments, such as dishwashing, catering support, inventory management, and general cleaning of equipment and work areas.

Pay Range

$17.00 - $22.47 /hour
