Job summary

Country Manor in Brainerd, Minnesota is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support the Culinary Services team with food preparation, meal service, and sanitation to ensure residents receive high-quality meals.

You will perform tray production duties, help keep the storeroom and carts clean, and assist with daily cleaning of kitchen equipment and work areas, while following safety and infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of age
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle various ingredients including pork, chicken, beef, turkey, fruits and vegetables
• Self-motivated, works well independently and as a team player
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate work
• Friendly, dependable, and enjoys working with the elderly

• Kitchen maintenance – Keep the kitchen area clean and organized.

• Serving meals – Help serve food and assist residents with their dining needs; following food preparation, sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.

Job description

The Nutrition Assistant supports the Culinary Services team by assisting with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen sanitation to ensure residents receive high-quality meals in a clean and efficient environment.

The Nutrition Assistant performs food preparation tasks as assigned, including tray production duties. The Nutrition Assistant also performs a variety of tasks, such as sweeping, scrubbing, cooler and freezer maintenance, and helps to keep the storeroom clean and orderly. Responsibilities also include daily cleaning of carts, equipment, and work areas.
