Job summary

Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support patient menu selection and perform clerical duties within the Food & Nutrition Services Department. The role operates on the nursing units under the supervision of a Diet Technician/Dietitian, contributing to quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with patients and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Nutrition Assistant is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
• Functions as a representative of the Nutrition Service Department on the nursing units while assisting patients with menu selection. Performs a variety of clerical duties to assist in the overall activities of the clinical section of the Food & Nutrition Services Department under the general direction of the Diet Technician/Dietitian.
