Job summary

East Texas A&M University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Health & Human Performance department to teach the B.S. Nutrition program. Courses may be offered on-campus, off-campus, or online, and typically involve day and/or evening sessions.

The role requires a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours or a terminal degree, along with excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities. Teaching experience and online instruction are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field is required to teach undergraduate courses OR a terminal degree in the field of study or closely related is required to teach graduate courses.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to two courses a semester in the B.S. Nutrition program with the Department of Health and Human Performance.
• Instruction may be delivered on-campus, off-campus, or online and may be during the day and/or evening as dictated by student demand and departmental needs.
• Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets department and college standards.
• Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments.
• Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations.
• Assist/mentor students as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
