Adjunct Faculty – HHP Nutrition Agency, East Texas A&M University, Department of Health & Human Performance

Location: Commerce, Texas
Job Type: Faculty – Adjunct

Summary

Adjunct Faculty refers to an educator hired to teach on a course‑by‑course basis throughout an academic year.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach up to two (2) courses per semester in the B.S. Nutrition program.
  • Instruction may be delivered on‑campus, off‑campus, or online, at day and/or evening times as required.
  • Develop and manage the class syllabus, ensuring compliance with department and college standards.
  • Plan and deliver lectures, facilitate in‑class discussions, and design assignments.
  • Assess student grades based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations.
  • Assist and mentor students as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field is required to teach undergraduate courses, or a terminal degree in the field of study or a closely related field is required to teach graduate courses.
  • Knowledge / Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to multi‑task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Education / Skills / Experience
  • Current relevant professional credentials.
  • College or university teaching experience.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence.
  • Prior relevant industry experience.
  • Online or hybrid teaching experience.
