Job summary

The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is seeking a Nutrient Management Planner to implement the state’s Nutrient Management Program in assigned service areas within Virginia. You will prepare Certified Nutrient Management Plans and conduct surveys to verify their implementation, contributing to regulatory and incentive programs related to nutrient management.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in agronomy, soil science, agricultural engineering, dairy science or related field.
• Strong written and spoken communication with diverse groups.
• Experience reporting data and completing written reports.
• Proficiency with MS Office for document creation, data compilation and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Implement Virginia’s Nutrient Management Program in assigned service area by preparing Certified Nutrient Management Plans.
• Conduct surveys to verify implementation of Nutrient Management Plans.
