Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Brea, CA is seeking a Nut Form Production Operator on-site to set up and run nut form production equipment, read blueprints, and produce quality parts safely.

Shifts: 1st (4:00 AM–2:30 PM) and 2nd (2:30 PM–1:00 AM), with possible OT on Saturdays. Competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications include experience with nut form machinery, use of precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gages) and ability to read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Performs set-up of nut form production equipment.
• Reads drawings, work orders, and blueprints to produce parts.
• Conducts in-process inspections using precision measurement tools.
• Maintains site safety and SOP adherence to prevent accidents or malfunctions.
• Completes production logs and related documentation with accuracy.
• Communicates urgent tooling and troubleshooting needs.

Responsibilities

Nut Former

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift (4AM-230PM)
• 2nd Shift (230PM-1AM) Saturday OT may be required

Salary Range: $35.00-$45.00 dependent on individual knowledge, skill level, and demonstrated experience

Key Responsibilities

• Performs set-up operation process for nut form production equipment
• Utilizes drawings, work orders, and blueprints to produce quality parts
• Performs regular in process inspections, utilizing precision measurement equipment as needed (micrometers, calipers, gages, etc.)
• Upholds site safety standards and standard operating procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and equipment malfunctions
• Completes required production logs and other related documentation with accuracy
• Communicate urgent needs related to tooling and troubleshooting

May be required to participate in regular department training and/or conduct training with new department employees

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience running nut form production machinery (nationals/jern yao)
• Proficient use of precision measurement tools (mics, calipers, gages, etc.)
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders
• Must be able to read/write in English

Physical Requirements

• Must have to ability to stand, lift, bend, kneel for duration of shift
• Must be able to work in non-temperature controlled environment
• Must have the ability to work with and around heavy metal materials
