Nurturing Parenting and Supportive Visitation Coach
Beech Brook, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier mental health agencies, is hiring a Nurturing Parenting and Supportive Visitation Coach. The role focuses on providing family‑centered, trauma‑informed services to promote protective factors, reduce abusive practices, and support successful reunification and permanency for children in out‑of‑home care.
Base pay range
$16.00/hr - $17.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience)
Education
- Associate’s Degree or minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Essential Responsibilities
- PRN availability for days, evenings, and/or weekends
- Provide educational and supportive services to parents with children ages 0‑18
- Facilitate the Nurturing Parenting curriculum and/or support services during family visitations
- Recruit and engage families in services
- Master the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum
- Provide timely documentation
- Communicate effectively with families, clinicians, and agency staff
- Conduct sessions virtually and in the home when available
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience working with youth and adults
- Reliable transportation and no more than five driving points on a driver’s license
- Must pass an employment, education, and criminal background check
- Access to a computer and comfortable using Word, Excel, Outlook; established internet access
- Excellent relationship‑building and organizational skills
- Strong time‑management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptable and flexible to meet client needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching, facilitating, or instructing experience preferred
- Experience working in a community‑based environment
