Job summary

BakerRipley in Texas is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to plan, implement, and supervise center-based activities for infants and toddlers, including those with developmental delays, in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom.

Collaborating with an integrated team, you will screen progress in the GOLD system, maintain accurate child records, organize family involvement, and schedule home visits and conferences as required.

Qualifications

• Current Infant/Toddler CDA is required.
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of Head Start mission and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers.
• Create a safe, healthy, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Develop individualized goals and plans for children and track progress.
• Screen, observe, and document progress in the GOLD system.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records including observations and attendance.
• Engage families through involvement, home visits, and conferences.
• Work with the Early Head Start Mentor Teacher on curriculum planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and provide nurturing care.
