Compensation Range:

Anticipated base compensation rate is in the range of $23.00 - $30.10 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.* 12-hour shifts at Huntington Health are overtime-based (not a straight time rate for all 12 hours). Employees working a full 12-hour shift will be paid their base rate for 8 hours and overtime (1.5x) for hours up to 12.

Expectations:
  • Responsible for clerical and non-clinical patient duties on inpatient and outpatient units.
  • Flexibility of hours may be required.
Education:

High School Diploma or GED, equivalency, or one year of related work experience.

Experience/Training:
  • Preferred: Two years experience as a unit secretary in a relevant patient care area.
  • Preferred: Participation in Performance Improvement Models (conferences, meetings, seminars, councils).
  • Basic computer skills and experience with computerized documentation systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent.
Skills:
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Effective multi-tasking skills.
  • Willingness to take direction from various staff members, sometimes with conflicting instructions and deadlines.
