Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN license in the state of practice; multi-state license acceptable if applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist with scheduling nursing staff to shifts, considering utilization trends.
• Balance department and unit needs with patient care priorities.
• May fill in for clinical support staff when staffing gaps exist.
• Develop trusting relationships with patients with empathy and professionalism.
• Participate in committees and staff meetings to support department initiatives and organizational goals.
• Review clinical performance assessments and drive process improvements.
• Implement performance improvement policies and train staff accordingly.
• Maintain staff competencies and certifications; ensure regulatory compliance.
