Job summary

Temple University Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee a clinical unit under the Nurse Manager. This role plans, directs, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care and administrative activities, with staff oversight in the manager's absence.

A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required, an RN license is assumed, and at least 2 years of leadership experience in a clinical setting is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing or related health care field is preferred.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates nursing unit activities.
• Assumes staff oversight in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Supervises and counsels nursing staff on performance.
• Ensures staffing patterns provide optimal delivery of nursing service.
• Supports ongoing education and staff development.
