Job summary

DCH Health System is seeking a Team Leader to serve as the unit-based clinical supervisor, directing staff, patient flow and safety. The role includes coordinating in-services, mentoring staff, and participating in performance improvement activities.

The position requires RN licensure, a BSN or higher preferred, and 2+ years of nursing experience, with ACLS/PALS as applicable by unit. Weekend/holiday coverage is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Alabama or Multistate License required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; BSN preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Provider training required; ACLS and PALS certifications expected.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse.
• Specialty nursing experience preferred in applied area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit activities and provide leadership for staffing and patient assignments.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing care furnished to patients.
• Promote efficient patient flow with timely discharges and admissions.
• Maintain records related to orientation, in-service and competency assessments.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
