Responsibilities include coordinating communications with patients and staff, maintaining electronic systems, census data, charge processing, and appointment scheduling. The position is full-time, on-campus, with merit-based benefits and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school with clerical/health care experience totaling 1–2 years.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, visitors and health care professionals in a courteous, professional manner.
• Maintain electronic communication systems and update White Boards daily.
• Answer calls, relay messages, and assist with nursing unit information needs.
• Enter census and admission data; process patient charges when appropriate.
• Schedule tests and appointments for health care providers.
• Maintain inventory and ordering of unit supplies cost-effectively.
• Participate in unit staff meetings and in-services.
