Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation is seeking a Nursing Unit Assistant to support patient care and contribute to positive outcomes for residents. You will perform non-direct patient care tasks, monitor changes in condition, assist with beds and dining, and help transport patients to rehabilitation areas.

Strong English communication and a high school diploma (or equivalent) are preferred. This role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits as part of our dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide non direct patient care as a Nursing Unit Assistant to achieve positive patient outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.
• Report changes in patients' condition, patient/family concerns or complaints to charge nurse and/or supervisor.
• Make unoccupied patient beds.
• Assist with the dining program.
• Ensure patients are ready for scheduled rehabilitation therapy and transports them to the rehabilitation area.
• Manage patient personal belongings.
