Nursing Tutor and Skills Lab and Simulation Assistant

SALARY RANGE$21.57 - $30.13 hourly; $45,038 - $62,911 annuallyJob DescriptionAnoka-Ramsey?s nursing program provides leadership and excellence in nursing education through an inclusive and student-centered environment. The nursing program values diversity and recognizes the benefits of each students? unique perspectives and experiences.The Nursing Tutor and Skills Lab and Simulation Assistant will provide assistance through nursing lab/simulation and tutoring services to students. This position exists to facilitate student success by supporting student learning in previously presented theory concepts, assisting students in carrying out designated nursing skills, and through assistance with simulation experiences for students, to promote the safe practice of the nursing faculty?s previous instruction. This includes simulation activities in the Simulation Center and lab rooms. This position works with a team in the nursing lab that assists with facilitating the practice of nursing theory concepts/skills previously taught by nursing faculty, to support simulation for students studying acute care, chronic care, or health promotions, and maintaining the nursing lab, including supporting the ordering and inventory of supplies and equipment. The lab assistant monitors student progress and will provide feedback to nursing faculty. About Anoka-Ramsey Community College

Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) is a multi-campus institution and a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. The Coon Rapids Campus is located on the banks of the Mississippi River twentymiles north of downtown Minneapolis. The Cambridge Campus is located on west Highway 95 on the Rum River in Cambridge. Beginning in 1965 with 600 students in a wing of Centennial High School in Circle Pines, Anoka-Ramsey Community College has grown considerably. In 1967 the college moved to the current Coon Rapids Campus of approximately 103 acres. The Cambridge Campus opened in 1978 and has shown consistent growth in enrollment and facilities. In addition, students may complete many ARCC college courses at convenient off-site locations throughout neighboring communities. During the 2008-2009 academic year, more than 11,000 students completed credit classes at the college.
