Job Description

The Nursing Tutor and Skills Lab and Simulation Assistant will provide assistance through nursing lab/simulation and tutoring services to students. This role supports student success by helping with theory concepts, nursing skills, and simulation experiences to promote safe nursing practices. Responsibilities include maintaining the lab, supporting supply inventory, and providing feedback to faculty. The position collaborates with a team to facilitate learning in various clinical scenarios and maintains the lab environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree and relevant licensure in Registered Nursing
• At least one year of training, teaching, or tutoring experience in Nursing at the high school level or above

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting diverse student populations
• Understanding of non-traditional students' needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to learn and relate new nursing technologies
• Knowledge of nursing care in various environments and familiarity with technology tools like EMRs, Word, PowerPoint, D2L
