Gerber ICU is an 11-bed unit, with 2 observation beds and 9 inpatient beds. The ICU will be refreshed with new paint, flooring, and artwork. It is a mixed unit, so both Med/Surg and ICU patients are present. We offer telemedicine services in pulmonology, neurology, infectious disease, wound care, and VICU. Coming soon, telemedical palliative care services will be available. We have MRI services 6 days a week, along with CT, fluoroscopy, general and orthopedic surgery, care management, and medical social workers on site. Our goal is to provide quality care locally.
Nurse Technicians are team members who deliver quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include taking vital signs, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization, and acting as safety attendants for patients.
They also clean patient environments, work areas, and equipment, and communicate any equipment malfunctions to relevant personnel. Demonstrating high moral and ethical standards, they advocate for patient, staff, and organizational data privacy, confidentiality, and security.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Weekly Hours: 12
Days and weekends: Variable, every other weekend
