Job summary

Cone Health seeks a Nursing Technician Float to provide flexible support across departments. Under supervision, you will assist nurses and medical staff in delivering patient care, including taking vital signs and collecting specimens, while maintaining a safe and clean environment in accordance with hospital policies.

You will document patient information in the EMR, collaborate with the care team, and participate in ongoing training to enhance skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• NC CNA license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses and medical staff in providing direct patient care, including taking vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment with infection control and restocking supplies.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records, including vital signs and medications administered.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to communicate and coordinate patient care and report changes in condition.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance patient care techniques and procedures.
• Adhere to organizational policies and protocols to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
